Another Pro-Stockman Shadowy Mailer Emerges--Asians Targeted

HOUSTON, TX.--A mysterious, last minute election mailer making explicit candidate endorsements has been sent to Texas voters of Asian descent in the Houston area--prompting concerns from an established group called the Texas Asian Republican Assembly.

The mailer claims to be from a previously unknown group called Asian Republicans of Harris County. Here is the flier that was sent out:

Asian Rep of Harris Co by BreitbartTexas

The Texas Asian Republican Assembly put out the following statement:

The Texas Asian Republican Assembly (TARA) is the official Asian Republican organization in Texas and as such, is also an affiliate member of the Republican Party of Texas. The Texas Asian Republican Club (TARC) is the local Harris County affiliate of TARA.   It has come to our attention that a mailer was sent using a similar name and targeting Asian voters in the 2014 Republican Primary, with the sole purpose to confuse and mislead this important and growing community. This mailer with a slate of endorsed candidates has absolutely no connection to TARC or TARA.  On behalf of the Officers and members of TARA and TARC, we condemn this unethical and deceitful activity.

We encourage those behind the "Asian Republicans of Harris County” mailer to come out from the shadows and explain the real motive in their actions.  "Asian Republicans of Harris County" is not a group, is not registered with the State or the Texas Republican Party, but rather a name that has been used for the purpose of promoting this mailer.

In an exclusive interview with Jacey Jetton from TARA, Breitbart Texas learned that most of the mailers were sent to people with assumed Vietnamese surnames. Jetton pointed out that the Houston area has a Vietnamese community that tends to vote Republican.

Breitbart Texas has been unable to track down the owners of the website for Asian Republicans of Harris County, who have masked themselves behind a privacy service that keeps their domain registration hidden. The site was created within the last week.

Anyone with specific, credible information about who is behind the anonymous mailing is urged to send a tip to Breitbart Texas.
