Regardless of where one stands on the marriage issue, I think the coaches and team mates of Brendon Ayabadejo are the people who should really be angry. Birk, on the other hand, made his views known, but doesn't seem to view his participation in the Super Bowl as a stage for anything other than playing football. Ayabadejo basically told the world he wants to use the Super Bowl to further his political beliefs. It's pure showboating that does nothing to actually help his team win the game. If a player said he wanted to use the spotlight to do anything other than win the Super Bowl I would bench him.
