Conservatives Slam CNBC Debate Moderators, John Kasich Thinks They ‘Did a Good Job’

BOULDER, Colorado — Many conservatives are criticizing the CNBC debate moderators for liberal bias; however, GOP presidential candidate Ohio Gov. John Kasich is defending them.

According to MRCTV, Kasich was satisfied with the amount of time he was given to speak and “appreciative of how they did their job.” He told MRCTV that he “thought they did a good job.”

MRCTV reported that Kasich said, “I had time,” referencing the amount of talk time he was given to discuss the issues at this debate and that it “wasn’t a circus.”

However, GOP presidential candidate and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee’s campaign had a very different reaction – as did many other candidates – slamming the CNBC moderators, saying they became the story following Wednesday’s debate – committing a “cardinal sin of journalism.”

“After the past few debate debacles, the campaigns are having conversations with each other as to how we can avoid another debate where the moderators become the story. That’s the cardinal sin of journalism and the campaigns are sick and tired of it,” Huckabee’s Senior Communications Advisor Hogan Gidley told Breitbart News.

Media Research Center’s President Brent Bozell echoed Gidley’s opinion, saying the moderators’ tone and questioning was tilted.

“The CNBC moderators acted less like journalists and more like Clinton campaign operatives,” Bozell said in a statement Wednesday. “What was supposed to be a serious debate about the many issues plaguing our economy was given up for one Democratic talking point after another served up by the so-call ‘moderators.’  They clearly war-gamed this thinking that a relentless series of personal attacks on the candidates would somehow drive their ratings and help Hillary Clinton.”

Bozell said he believes the CBC debate made history “as an encyclopedic example of liberal media bias on stage.”

“The audience roared its disdain for these so-called ‘journalists,’ and all of America heard it,” he added. “CNBC should be embarrassed for their pitiful display of partisan liberal media bias and apologize to the GOP candidates and the American people.”

GOP presidential candidates Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) also slammed the moderators and the mainstream media’s liberal bias during the debate.
