Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is beefing up his ground game in South Carolina.

According to Politico:

The campaign on Saturday sent an email asking supporters to join a “strike force” to deploy to South Carolina and aid get-out-the-vote operations, with housing provided in Greenville, S.C. — the third “Camp Cruz” lodging operation to open, following those based in Des Moines and Manchester.

Cruz sees friendlier territory in evangelical-dominated South Carolina than he does here in more moderate New Hampshire, and made it a point to stop in Greenville Tuesday before turning full attention to the first-in-the-nation primary here.
