On Thursday, President Donald Trump will reportedly “monitor” the first part of former FBI director James Comey’s testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee in the White House dining room with his legal and political advisers.

Trump’s personal attorney Marc Kasowitz said on Wednesday that Trump felt “vindicated” after Comey released his prepared introductory statement. Comey acknowledged in those remarks that he did in fact tell Trump that he “was not under investigation in any Russian probe.”
“The president is pleased that Mr. Comey has finally publicly confirmed his private reports that the President was not under investigation in any Russia probe,” Kasowitz said in statement. “The president feels completely and totally vindicated. He is eager to continue to move forward with his agenda.”
According to Bloomberg News, Trump’s aides, though, “wouldn’t say whether the president will offer his trademark commentary on Twitter — or instead leave the rebuttal to a rapid-response team the White House assembled to blast out push-back to Comey’s assertions.”
The Washington Post’s Robert Costa reported earlier in the week that Trump “does not plan to put down Twitter” during Comey’s testimony and may even “live tweet if he feels the need to respond.” A D.C. bar even announced that it will offer free drinks every time Trump tweets about Comey.
Trump is scheduled to address the Faith and Freedom Coalition Conference around noon while Comey’s hearing is expected to last until 1 p.m.
