A Pennsylvania man was arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend in a supposed satanic ritual by cutting her hand and leg with a razor blade while she lay unconscious, police say.
The victim told police that she began arguing with suspect Kyle Parker, and he sliced her hand with a razor blade. The woman said she soon passed out, and when she awoke, she found Parker cutting at her leg with the razor, Fox 5 reported.
The woman also told police that Parker said he used her blood to “sell [her] soul to the devil.”
Police were amazed by the incident. “I mean, we’ve had some strange things, but this is getting up there in unique,” North Huntingdon Police Department spokesman Rodney Mahinske told WPXI TV.
A neighbor, however, was not surprised.
“I’m not surprised at all by what happened because he has a record for stuff like this,” Mike Bazala told the media. “I do think he just goes for shock value, I don’t think he’s a Satanic cultist, I think he wants people to be scared and fear him.”
Police arrested the man and charged him with assault and harassment:
