Pamela Anderson stripped down for a reenactment of the infamous Psycho shower scene in a new print advertisement for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

The ad, first revealed by Us magazine, takes a shot at California’s meat industry by claiming that water used to produce meat could be better spent during the state’s devastating drought.

“Meat and dairy farms drain half the country’s water,” the caption reads. “Making a splash for the environment doesn’t just mean shorter showers. Try vegan.”

In the shot, Anderson poses with nothing but a small towel clasped to her chest as she’s made up to look like Janet Leigh from Alfred Hitchcock’s 1960 masterpiece Psycho.

“Rivers are siphoned off, not just for the animals but also for crops grown to feed animals on factory farms,” Anderson told the magazine. “Producing one pound of beef uses as much water as about six months of showers.”

According to the Daily Mail, Anderson will show off the ad on an episode of the Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday, May 21.

This is hardly the first time Anderson has posed for PETA; the Baywatch alum previously posed in a lettuce bikini for the organization’s “Turn over a new leaf” campaign. In 2010, Anderson posed for another ad: “All Animals Have the Same Parts.”

Anderson is one of the most outspoken celebrity supporters of the organization, but she’s not the only one: Pink, Khloe Kardashian, Olivia Munn, Alicia Silverstone, Jennie Garth, and many others have posed provocatively in PETA ad campaigns.

In March, the organization stood up for the rights of fictional animals when it urged director Tim Burton to give the new Dumbo remake a “truly happy ending.”
