WATCH – BDS Fail: Rock Stars Line Up to Perform in Israel

TEL AVIV – Despite the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement’s best efforts, a star-studded lineup of musicians are refusing to give in to the pressure not to perform in Israel.

For the first time ever, rock icon Alice Cooper will perform in Israel as part of his “Raise the Dead” world tour. Tickets for the June 16 concert are selling for as high as $260.

Master of the macabre Cooper could barely contain his excitement over his debut performance in Tel Aviv after five decades in the music business.

“After many years of trying, I’m excited to announce my first ever show in Israel – ever,” Cooper said.

“You’re going to get all my hits, I’m going to bring my full show, including all my classic tricks. You never know what might happen! It will be an incredible show and a historic night. So don’t miss it!”

Meanwhile, New Jersey indie band Real Estate will perform in Tel Aviv on May 25 while popular South African duo Die Antwoord are set to reward their Israeli fans on June 8.

Progressive metal band Symphony X will promote their new album “Underworld” with an August 10 concert.

In February, Jennifer Lopez announced she would perform a summer concert in Israel despite pressure from anti-Israel boycotters to cancel.

Vociferous Israel-basher and Pink Floyd front man Roger Waters has been accused of using bullying tactics to persuade other musicians not to perform in Israel.
