Ex-Israeli Soldier To Become Kim Kardashian’s New Bodyguard

TEL AVIV – After being robbed at gunpoint in a Paris hotel room, reality star Kim Kardashian has reportedly hired a counter-terror expert and ex-Israeli soldier who impersonated an Arab to be her security guard.

An Israeli-American born in Canada, Aaron Cohen left Israel for Los Angeles when he was two years old but returned to Israel 15 years later, Ynet news reported. After spending time on a kibbutz, Aaron was drafted into the IDF’s prestigious Duvdevan unit in which he served as a mistarev – the name given to undercover agents posing as Arabs.

Cohen returned to the U.S. after being released from the army and opened a security company catering to celebrities. Among his list of clients are Katy Perry, Brad Pitt and Arnold Schwarzenegger. He also became a consultant in counter-terrorism.

Earlier this month, armed robbers disguised as police officers accosted Kim Kardashian in her hotel room, bound and gagged her, and locked her in the bathroom before making off with more than $10 million in jewelry.

Kardashian’s husband, rapper Kanye West, called Cohen in a bid to bolster his wife’s personal security.

Cohen remained tight-lipped about whether he was approached by West.

“Because of the nature of my business, I cannot confirm whether someone approached me, but I can say that it’s unthinkable that a star of Kim’s caliber only has one security guard.”

Cohen explained that in another incident in which Kardashian was attacked, her own security guard was neutralizing the attacker while no one was around to guard her.

“You have to understand that this is a star who has more followers on social media than presidential candidates,” Cohen said. “People know where she is at almost every moment, what jewelry she has on and also that her security is lacking. You could say she’s ‘asking’ to be robbed. With everything that happened, she’s lucky to be alive.”

Cohen’s immersion in combat fighting extends to training soldiers from all over the world to fight terrorism.

In the past, Cohen has also been hired to train actors in hand-to-hand combat and the use of weapons, the report said. His clients include Channing Tatum, Ewan McGregor and Keanu Reeves.

“I’d like to star in movies myself,” admitted Cohen. “But I haven’t landed a role yet.”
