Fact Check: WaPo Blasts CNN for Lying About Trump and Muslims

The left-wing CNN was taken to task Saturday by no less than the left-wing Washington Post after CNN anchor Anderson Cooper was caught red-handed lying about Donald Trump. On his show Friday night, the increasingly shrill Cooper claimed that Trump said, “[W]e’re going to be looking at that, we’re going to be looking at the Muslims in America.”

That’s a lie.

Trump said no such thing.

Not even close.

And Anderson Cooper know this because the video of the exchange between Trump and a questioner who was obviously misled by Hillary Clinton’s lies about Obama’s faith has already been played and replayed more times than the Zapruder film.

Here’s the actual exchange:

Q: We have a problem in this country. It’s called Muslims. We know our current president is one.

A: Right.

Q: You know he’s not even an American.

A: We need this question. This is the first question!

Q: But anyway, we have training camps brewing where they want to kill us. That’s my question, when can we get rid of ’em?

A: We’re going to be looking at a lot of different things. A lot of people are saying that, and you know, a lot of people are saying bad things are happening out there. We’re going to be looking at that and plenty of other things.

It is painfully obvious that the man’s question is about terror training camps. We know this because the questioner says “that’s my question” right after bringing up training camps.

After being called out for this lie by a guest, Cooper tried to deflect with a bizarre boast about his passport, “Andy, I’ve been overseas more than you have in your whole little life,” Cooper said.

Because that’s relevant.

As we all now know, our media is working overtime to pretend it is an outrage that Trump declined to defend President Obama from the Obama-Is-A-Muslim rumors started by Hillary Clinton in 2008.

Cooper and CNN are now so outraged they are making things up, and the dishonest desperation is so glaring, even the leftwing Washington Post cried foul.
