LOS ANGELES, Oct. 25 (UPI) — Bob Ross’ official YouTube channel has posted the first episode of the artist’s iconic instructional series The Joy of Painting.
The show ran on PBS 1983-94.
“For the next 13 weeks, I’ll be your host as we experience the joy of painting,” Ross noted in his signature soothing and encouraging voice. “Let’s do it. Let’s paint a picture. Right here.”
The video clip has gotten nearly 500,000 views since it was posted Thursday.
Ross died in 1995 after a battle with lymphoma. He was 52.
