Negotiators have reached a deal to end a week-long strike crippling the US ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, the Los Angeles mayor’s office said.
“A deal has been struck to end the strike at the @PortofLA & Long Beach,” the office of Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who had taken part in an all-night negotiating session the night before, wrote on its Twitter account.
The mayor’s office could not immediately be reached to provide further details about the agreement.
