STAMFORD, Conn.
Police say a New York City TV anchorman made a death threat against his wife as he was being arrested for attacking her at their Connecticut home.

The alleged threat was revealed in a court document released during Tuesday’s arraignment of WCBS-TV’s Rob Morrison.

A police officer wrote that Morrison said “he would kill his wife” if he were released from custody.

The document was offered in Stamford Superior Court in support of an order of protection imposed against Morrison. The judge ordered him to stay 100 yards away from Ashley Morrison except when they’re both at work.

She works for “CBS Moneywatch.”

Morrison is charged with strangulation, threatening and disorderly conduct.

His lawyer, Robert Skovgaard, did not enter a plea. On Monday, he said the allegations have been exaggerated.
