New England Patriots to catch derby and boxing bout in same day

LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 2 (UPI) — It’s hard to keep a low profile at 6 feet, 6 inches and 265 pounds. It’s even harder when you’re wearing a plaid suit at the Kentucky Derby. Tight end Rob Gronkowski headlined a cast of New England Patriots who attended Saturday’s 141st running of the derby, won by favorite American Pharaoh.

At 6:50 p.m., Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman tweeted a photo from a plane that read: “@RobGronkowski @DannyAmendola @Zegna left derby now to the fight rocking out to that #geazy #patsboomsqaud.”
