WASHINGTON, Dec. 13 (UPI) — President Barack Obama has agreed to lease office space in the World Wildlife Fund’s headquarters in Washington, D.C., for work after he leaves the White House, a source familiar with the arrangement said.
Two souces told The Washington Post that Obama will rent office space at the WWF’s headquarters in 1250 24th St. NW in the West End.
The WWF is an international non-governmental organization focused on wilderness preservation and reducing man’s negative impacts on society.
“As a former president, President Obama will have office space in Washington, D.C., when he leaves office,” Amy Brundage, an spokesperson for Obama spokeswoman, told The Washington Post — declining to confirm or deny the office’s location.
Obama’s presidential library will be based in Chicago but will have outposts in New York and Hawaii. He will live in Washington, D.C., for at least two years while his youngest daughter, Sasha, finishes high school.
The Chicago-Sun Times reported the Obama Foundation is considering opening a branch office in Washington, D.C., while Obama is still in the capital of the United States. First lady Michelle Obama will also open an office in Washington, D.C.

Obama previously said he wishes to help shape the future of the Democratic Party and said he wants to continue work on environmental conservation and climate change. Former presidents receive taxpayer dollars to help pay for office space, staff, travel and mailing expenses, under federal law.
Obama previously appointed WWF President and CEO Carter Roberts to his Advisory Council on Wildlife Trafficking.
