Rapper T.I.: No connection to hip-hop site frequented by Tsarlaev

BOSTON, April 20 (UPI) —

Rapper T.I. said he’s angry his image was used on a hip-hop website frequented by Boston marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev.

T.I. told TMZ he has no connection to real-hiphop.com and he’s upset the rap genre has been linked to the suspects — who allegedly perpetrated the bombing and firefights in Boston this week.

"Hip-hop narrates the activity and conditions of our culture. It doesn’t create them," he said. "Hip-hop ain’t never been about hurting innocent people."

T.I. said the Boston Marathon attack "was a horrible tragedy and my prayers go out to the families involved."

Two bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston Marathon Monday, killing three people and injuring about 170 others.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, was killed Thursday night in a shootout with police. His brother, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, was arrested Friday evening at the end of a massive manhunt.
