NEW YORK, July 15 (UPI) — Syfy has released the first trailer for its upcoming TV movie Sharknado: The 4th Awakens, as well as a video catching people up on what happened in the first three flicks.
Much of the action-packed preview takes place in Las Vegas. Celebrity cameos featured in the brief clip include Gary Busey, Gilbert Gottfried, Vince Neil, a Chippendales dancer and Wayne Newton.
Others expected to pop up in the fourth installment in the Sharknado film franchise are Stacey Dash, Carrot Top, Erika Girardi, Steve Guttenberg and Seth Rollins.
Slated to debut July 31, Sharknado: The 4th Awakens takes place five years after the East Coast was ravaged in last summer’s Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!
“Fin, his family and the cosmos have been blissfully sharknado-free in the intervening years, but now sharks – and ‘nados! – are being whipped up in places [and ways] least expected,” a synopsis said.
The movie stars Ian Ziering, Tara Reid, David Hasselhoff and Ryan Newman. New additions to the franchise include Tommy Davidson, Imani Hakim, Cody Linley, Masiela Lusha and Cheryl Tiegs.
