Jeb Bush says he's 'thinking about running for president' in 2016

NEW YORK, April 23 (UPI) —

Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush announced Wednesday, during a closed-door fundraiser for New York Catholic, that he was considering a campaign for the oval office.

According to Fox News, Bush said "I’m thinking about running for president" and was apparently met with a standing ovation from the crowd.

New York businessman John Catsimatidis was in attendance and told CBS News Bush said he’s "digesting" the idea and joked, "Somebody call my mother and ask her," referencing former first lady Barbara Bush’s public disapproval of her son as a candidate earlier this year when she said she hoped he won’t run.

Only hours earlier, David Axelrod, a former senior adviser to President Obama told MSNBC, "Running in the Republican Party today is a hard thing to do, and I don’t think Jeb Bush wants to run for president and have to subjugate his principles like the last two nominees did."
