Spicer: ‘Unacceptable’ to Address the President-Elect the Way Acosta Did

Thursday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” incoming White House press secretary Sean Spicer condemned CNN’s Jim Acosta for his aggressive tack trying to get a question in at President-elect Donald Trump’s press conference at Trump Tower in New York City a day earlier.

“Whether it is Republican or Democrat, I would be here saying the same thing if someone had address President Obama or President Clinton or any president that way,” Spicer said. “It is disrespectful, rude, childish and unacceptable for anybody to treat the president-elect … and so, I think at some point this should be a lesson. There were plenty of journalist, the majority of which act with respect and normal protocol and decorum. And I think that’s how it should be. But the idea that he feels entitled to and acts in a way that’s unbecoming frankly doesn’t represent the press corps respectfully and I know that many journalists feel the same way.”
