Tucker Carlson on Marshawn Lynch Standing for Mexican National Anthem, Sitting for ‘Star-Spangled Banner’: ‘That’s Insane’

Monday, “Tucker Carlson Tonight” host Tucker Carlson reacted to Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch standing for the Mexican National Anthem while the team was in the country to play the New England Patriots, only to sit for his own country’s national anthem.

Carlson called it “grotesque” and “insane” for Lynch to be “under the impression that Mexico is a more virtuous country than his own.”

“[H]ave you seen the people who run Mexico?” Carlson asked sports agent Anthony Tall. “Is there a country in the world with a firmer color bar than Mexico? I don’t think there is.”

He added, “How do Afro-Mexicans do [in Mexico]?”
