MSNBC host Chris Hayes condemn the Democrat mob violently attacking supporters of Republican presumptive nominee Donald Trump at a rally in San Jose Thursday night. Hayes called for the Democrat assailants to be “identified and prosecuted.”
He tweeted:
This is despicable mob violence. Anyone and everyone who participated in assaults tonight needs to be identified and prosecuted.

"This plays into Trump's hands" is beside the point. People have a *fundamental* right to attend a political rally.

Jeering and heckling is one thing. Violent assault entirely another.

John Podesta, a top surrogate of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, was also quick to condemn the Democrat mob violence and put distance between his candidate and the most ardent supporters of Clinton and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.
Violence against supporters of any candidate has no place in this election.
