Dog Days Of Summer: Obama Uses White House Dog To Appeal To Swing States

When his economic policies are not working, all President Obama seems to have left, besides attacking Republicans in Congress and Mitt Romney, is his dog, Bo.

On Monday, Obama gave interviews to local television stations from swing states such as New Hampshire, North Carolina, Nevada, Wisconsin, Iowa and Florida and, according to Politico, the family dog just happened to show up while the reporters were touring the White House.

Footage of Bo made its way into many of the local newscasts.

According to Politico, these are the stations that interviewed Obama on Monday.

WMUR, Manchester, NH
WRAL, Raleigh, NC
WJAN, Miami, FL
WLKY, Louisville, KY
WISN, Milwaukee, WI
KWQC, Quad Cities, IA/IL
WWL, New Orleans, LA
KSNV, Las Vegas, NV

Of course, this is a blatant ploy by the White House to soften Obama’s image among voters after a horrendous June jobs report in an economy that is slumping because of liberal policies — like Obamacare — Obama has championed.

A recent study, though, suggested that Bo may be a liability for Obama, in which case this dog and pony show may have been for naught.
