Bill Clinton, ObamaMedia Already Politicizing Potentially Deadly Hurricane

Hurricane Sandy, or FrankenStorm, is a Category One and already starting to lash against the East Coast. The worst case scenarios are frightening enough that a number of coastal areas, including parts of New Jersey and the lower parts of Manhattan, have already been evacuated. While the media does tend to over-hype these things, there’s no question Sandy could be a historic and deadly storm. That, however, has not stopped Obama’s surrogates in the form of Bill Clinton and NBC News from already using Sandy as a political weapon against Mitt Romney.

It’s a beautiful thing being Barack Obama, isn’t it? CorruptMedia love means never being held accountable for your surrogates. Even as Mitt Romney is beaten senseless for days over  comments made by Todd Akin and Richard Mourdock, Obama is never held politically accountable for anything done in his name. This includes ads that accuse Romney of murder. This is why Obama’s surrogates feel comfortable saying and doing just about anything, including using a monster hurricane as a political weapon.

For example, today, in Florida, former president Bill Clinton is campaigning on behalf of Obama, and already he’s equating Sandy to what Americans will face should Romney win:

“We’re coming down to the 11th hour. We’re facing a violent storm,” Clinton said according to the Connecticut Mirror. “It’s nothing compared to the storm we’ll face if you don’t make the right decision in this election.”

Obama’s media pals at NBC News are so desperate that they beat Clinton to the punch with an article written by Ed Schultz that went up when the storm’s potential for destruction looked even worse than it does now:

Why Romney’s not ready for Hurricane Sandy

A massive storm is expected to claw its way up the Eastern Seaboard between now and Halloween night. Some forecasters say Hurricane Sandy will be worse than last year’s Hurricane Irene that hit the East Coast last year.

What will be interesting is to see how Mitt Romney reacts in the wake of the storm. …

But Mitt Romney would drastically cut funding for disaster relief agencies like FEMA. Romney won’t give specifics on his budget plan, but as Mother Jones noted in August[.]

NBC’s Chief White House Correspondent, Chuck “The Goatee” Todd has been all over the airwaves today talking up how good it is for Obama to have this chance to look presidential, while Romney has “nothing to do.” This of course is another lie of omission from Todd, because we all know Romney has donated campaign buses to aid in the evacuation. Team Romney has also pulled ads and stopped fundraising emails in states targeted by the storm.

Obama’s surrogates at the Huffington Post and Daily Kos are also milking this tragedy against Romney for all it’s worth. Naturally, the Bensmithers over at the anti-gay BuzzFeed Politics are using this potentially deadly hurricane as a partisan weapon on Twitter to spread this anti-Romney meme with a Top Tweet!

We all remember that, while he was President Obama’s Chief of Staff in 2009, Rahm Emanuel accidentally told the truth when he said, ” You never want a serious crisis to go to waste.”

Well, this hurricane might be about as “serious” as it gets for millions of Americans, but already Obama’s surrogates on the stump and in the media aren’t letting it “go to waste” against Romney.

Does it get any more craven than that?
