President Obama said that it is highly unlikely that he will visit Cuba soon or allow Cuban President Raul Castro to visit the White House.

“We’re not at a stage here where me visiting Cuba or President Castro coming to the United States is in the cards,” he said during his press conference.

Obama did, however, leave the door open for visiting the country in the future.

“I don’t know how this relationship will develop over the next several years,” he said, saying that he was still “a fairly young man.”

“I imagine at some point in my life I’ll have an opportunity to visit Cuba and enjoy interacting with the Cuban people,” he said.
