Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large John Nolte and contributor Michael Patrick Leahy highlighted shortcomings of Hillary Clinton’s testimony last week to the House Select Committee on Benghazi. The two joined a host of astute callers and Breitbart News Saturday host and Breitbart Editor-In-Chief Alex Marlow on the Breitbart News Saturday radio program, breaking down the many questions left unanswered throughout the committee’s hearing.

Caller Perry from Texas suggested to Marlow, despite the committee having Clinton “on the ropes” for emails between Clinton and Sid Blumenthal, “Maybe someone should have said… well maybe if you had a .gov email account someone could have got ahold of you.” Marlow noted that the Republican leadership did not do a good making that point clearly. He continued, “Sid Blumenthal got through to her hundreds of times, there were hundreds of requests for additional security. Not just in Benghazi, but in various embassies and consulates and diplomatic missions around the world.”

Perry replied, “They (the Republican leadership) just let it go right on by.”

Leahy recalled to Marlow that Breitbart News submitted a FOIA request for documents detailing State Department rules of engagement for Libya, which, as Secretary of State, Clinton would have had to have signed. “Those rules of engagement essentially said, ‘No Marines, and you can’t carry guns.”

Marlow noted that this type of document is another item not addressed in the Benghazi hearing in which Clinton testified.

Tony from Texas asked if the U.S. had been running guns to Syria. Leahy said there “were a number of reports and rumors this was going on.” He continued that unfortunately there was no actual investigation launched into these charges.

Caller Eric said, “I thought that the prosecutors spoke way too many words. They didn’t ask enough questions. They could have pinned her down by saying, ‘Are you lying now?’ or ‘Were you lying then?’ I mean they really could have got her to admit to perjury I do believe, if they had tried. I wasn’t impressed at all with the whole affair.”

“They had the goods. It’s like Perry Mason having the goods and walking in the courtroom and falling over,” Nolte agreed, remarking that Eric, “hit the nail on the head.” He continued, “I think part of the game that the Clintons and the media played was to sort of get in their head prior to the hearing,” comparing the tactic to that which Mohammed Ali employed against opponents before a big fight.

“It just isn’t American. This woman lied. She lied to the American people. She lied to the Benghazi families, and she’s going to get away with it unless we get someone – and maybe we don’t need a candidate to do this, maybe we need a Super PAC that can make this argument in a 30 second ad.”

Marlow and Nolte went over Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large Joel Pollak’s Top Nine New Revelations from the Benghazi Hearing. The first item was an email communication demonstrating that Clinton did not attribute the terror attack to a YouTube video, then later told the American public that the YouTube video was to blame.

A second revelation was Clinton’s testimony that leading up to the attack she thought that the now deceased Ambassador Chris Stevens was joking when he had asked for increased security at the compound in Benghazi. Marlow expressed disbelief that Benghazi special committee Chairman Rep. Trey Gowdy – who is “supposed to be this elite prosecutor” – didn’t “hammer this.”

Third, Marlow noted that Clinton claimed her close friend the Ambassador did not have her personal email address and couldn’t reach her directly. “Chris Stevens was not just an ambassador, he was her close friend,” Nolte echoed.

Nolte commented to Marlow, “You asked why [Rep. Trey] Gowdy couldn’t capitalize on this, why they couldn’t close the sale on any of these areas that they were encroaching on. Because they are incompetent boobs who need to be removed from office.”

Marlow added for the listening audience that “[Clinton] and the State Department broke a law because they failed to sign a waiver for security. Hillary claimed that everything possible was done, though she decided not to send additional help as well to Benghazi.” Also, Marlow said that she clearly had Sidney Blumenthal’s emails, didn’t know where he was getting the intelligence information he provided to her, used that information in official meetings, and it “clearly informed her opinion.”

“[Clinton] did not talk at any point about why she installed a private server, she never justified it, she never explained it, and she never, more importantly, discussed why she chose not to reveal that to the American people and to the government,” he added.

Clinton has continually lied about what has been turned over, Marlow pointed out. “She says that 90 to 95 per cent of her emails were on the State Department email system. Obviously that’s not true.”

“This seems like it’s still ripe for the picking,” Marlow said before asking Nolte how he would handle the situation if he were in charge.

“If I was a Presidential candidate, I would be going on a ‘she’s lying’ spree,” Nolte responded. “I’d be going on every show that would take me and I would make the point that she lied, she lied, she lied and I would keep her on defense and I would keep her media on defense and I would have my stuff together before I got on the air.”

Nolte declared he would not be intimidated by the organized media front, “Really what the media is doing Alex is they’re trying to end Benghazi, it’s over, it’s done, shut it down, it’s over. That’s what they’re trying to do. That’s what this is really about in advance of the election.”

The messages that came up repeatedly during Saturday’s program from Nolte, Leahy, Marlow, and those that called in to the show regarding the topic were: the shortcomings of the committee itself, the lies of Hillary Clinton, and the attempts of left media to move the issue of Benghazi into the past.

The entire program aired on SiriusXM Patriot channel 125 and can be heard on demand at the SiriusXM website. Breitbart News announced on Monday the launch of daily morning drive-time programming on the SiriusXM Patriot channel.
