The facts behind the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown in Ferguson, MO are still coming in, but rap star Nelly is already on the scene to make his voice heard.
Ryan J. Reilly, a Huffington Post reporter, captured Nelly in Ferguson yesterday via his Twitter page. The musician and St. Louis native wore a shirt featuring #MikeBrown on it.
Nelly already announced he will start a scholarship in Brown’s name. Now, he’s using his Twitter account to decry the events occurring in the fractured town. He’s also asking fans to let their voices make a difference, not distill potential progress by looting.
