Kanye West, the international hip-hop superstar, is begging Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg for cash after announcing that he is $53 million in personal debt.
West took to Twitter to ask Zuckerberg to invest in him:
Mark Zuckerberg invest 1 billion dollars into Kanye West ideas
— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) February 14, 2016
Mark, I am publicly asking you for help…

Over time, the tweets became passive-aggressive, petulant, and self-pitying:
All you dudes in San Fran play rap music in your homes but never help the real artists…
— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) February 15, 2016
All you guys had meetings with me and no one lifted a finger to help….

Despite being “personally rich,” West said, he could not afford to buy luxury items for his family–he is married to Kim Kardashian–and invest in his business projects at the same time:
Yes I am personally rich and I can buy furs and houses for my family

but I need access to more money in order to bring more beautiful ideas to the world.
— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) February 15, 2016
If I spent my money on my ideas I could not afford to take care of my family. I am in a place that so many artist end up.

As the tweets continued into a second day, West claimed that some billionaires had stepped forward to aid him.
I am ultra light beaming right now. So many people have called or emailed to help today hedge fund guys billionaires etc…

No word from Zuckerberg himself, however. Perhaps West should have tried Facebook.
