3-Year-Old Joins Mensa

TENNESSEE – A 3-year-old toddler has been invited to join the elite society Mensa after scoring 135 on an IQ test, putting her in the top 1% of the population. Selena Janik (pictured above) was contacted by Mensa which reserves membership only for the top 2% of the population.

According to their web site:

Mensa has three stated purposes: to identify and foster human intelligence for the benefit of humanity, to encourage research in the nature, characteristics and uses of intelligence, and to promote stimulating intellectual and social opportunities for its members.

Selena’s parents say they knew she was special from the day she was born. They quickly noticed her unusual aptitude for reading and counting. The 3-year-recently told her mother that she wanted to be a scientist when she grew up after asking, “Mommy, what are the people who like molecules?”

As a side notes, I ain’t paticularlee impressive by this stories.
