You may or may not have heard that the 34-year-old roofer, not only lost his right leg, but broke his other one, suffered severe burns and still has shrapnel lodged near his heart.
You may or may not have heard that he spent 45 days at Massachusetts General Hospital, another 55 days at Spaulding, and underwent 49 surgical procedures during his 16 trips to the operating room.
You may or may not have heard that two of his friends also lost legs as a result of the blast.
You may or may not know that he’s a father and a fiance.
