Cops: Bride-To-Be Tries To Smuggle Meth To Inmate In Her Dentures

HUNTSVILLE, Tn. (WBIR) – An engaged woman was arrested Sunday after police say she intended to pass along meth hidden in her dentures to her incarcerated future husband during a kiss at their wedding ceremony.

Scott County Sheriff’s Department said that Brita West (picture above) arrived at the detention center in Huntsville to marry prisoner Willard Tinch. As she was being searched, Ms. West reportedly asked an officer if she would be able to give her husband a kiss after the ceremony. However, while she talked with the officer, he noticed her dentures continuously falling out…and subsequently, he noticed a small package in her mouth.

Officers found methamphetamine and two suboxone strips. The latter is used to treat opiate addiction. The blushing bride then gave police permission to search her purse and car where they found more meth, syringes, and a folded dollar bill. Inside the bill was an unidentified crushed pill.

West was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of meth more than .5 grams, possession of Schedule 3, and introducing drugs into a county institution.

What a catch.
