Does Anyone Believe Obama When He Says He Wants To End The NSA Records Grab

After immense pressure from the American
public to scrap the governments “metadata” collection efforts,
Presidente Obama is strongly considering, and will ask the Congress to end the
NSA “bulk collection” of the metadata.

Here is the catch. The government, or Obama’s
administration would still have full access to the information, and be able to
access it “when needed.”

This is laughable.

If Congress approves, the Obama administration
would stop collecting the information, known as metadata, which lists millions
of phone calls made in the United States. The practice triggered a national
debate over privacy rights when the extent of the surveillance program was
exposed last year by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden.

Instead, the government
would have to get permission from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court
to review data about the time and duration of telephone calls that it believes
may be connected to terror attacks, according to the New York Times, which first
reported the plan.-Reuters

Obama is also said to want to have available
to him “as many capabilities of the program
as possible.”

Does anyone with half a brain
think for one second that Obama is not going to use this information to help
push his liberal agenda, during, and after his last term in office?
