U.S. Border Patrol Agents apprehended two illegal immigrants who were previously convicted sex offenders at the Texas border.

On September 13, Juan Francisco Martinez-Berrones, 21, was captured near Eagle Pass, Texas. While processing him, Eagle Pass agents discovered that in San Antonio, Martinez-Berrones, had been convicted of sexual assault of a child, which is a second-degree felony. He was sentenced to five years of probation and fined $1,500 before being deported to Mexico.

That same day near Carrizo Springs, Texas, agents found Hector Napoleon-Diaz, 35, an illegal immigrant from Honduras. He was sent to the Carrizo Spring Station for processing where agents discovered that Hector Napoleon-Diaz had been convicted of rape in Lexington, Kentucky and was previously deported.

In response to these incidents, Del Rio Sector Acting Chief Patrol Agent Matthew J. Hudak, said: “The men and women of the United States Border Patrol work diligently to protect our communities against the criminals attempting to enter our country illegally.”

Both illegal immigrants are facing a charge of illegal entry after deportation and could see up to 20 years behind bars.

This recent incident of deported sexual predators illegally re-entering the U.S. is nothing new. As previously reported by Breitbart Texas:

U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) has deported more than 860 sex offenders from the State of Texas this year, according to an official press release from the agency. More than 7,000 sex offenders have been deported from Texas alone in the past three years.

The release reveals 27% of the deported 860+ alien sex offenders from the past three months committed sex offenses against children.

Though some may take the frightening numbers of sex offenders who have crossed into the U.S. and been deported as an indication of a job well done by ICE, a recent investigative Breitbart News report indicates a more concerning possibility–the sex offenders illegally entering the U.S. through the porous U.S./Mexico border are possibly being deported and coming right back to offend again.

The CBP reports that 25 “previously deported sex offenders” have been apprehended in 2016 alone in the Del Rio Sector.
