Cowherd: Angst over College Coaches’ Pay Is Outrage over a White Male ‘Making a lot of Money’

On Wednesday’s “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” on ESPN, host Colin Cowherd responded to the outrage of University of Kentucky men’s basketball coach John Calipari reportedly signing a contract extension to stay with Kentucky that will pay out $8 million a year.

According to Cowherd, the outrage of coaches being paid so much while college athletes do not, is because it is white males being paid a lot to coach a sport.

“Caliparis now got a raise to $11 million a year. Why are you still bothered by it? It’s not about the player getting paid. It’s about being outraged by a white male, often, making a lot of money to coach a college sport. Get over it. That’s the system we’re in. There are real estate developers in this country, there are surgeons, the Kardashians, I don’t even know what their talent is. I really don’t. I think the family makes $200 million a year. It is what it is. I don’t pay their taxes. I don’t care. How do you know they are happier than you? May not be.”
