The Indianapolis Colts ran a questionable fake punt during NBC’s “Sunday Night Football.”
On fourth down with three yards to go and trailing the New England Patriots 27-21 with one minute left in the third quarter, the Colts shifted from a punt formation to wide receiver Griff Whalen as the center to snap the ball to safety Colt Anderson.
It went so poorly, NBC commentator Al Michaels reacted by saying, “What in the world?”
The Colts went on to lose the game 34-27.
