NYT’s Jonathan Martin: Dems Have Set Up Primary to Favor Hillary

Sunday on CNN’s “Inside Politics,” New York Times reporter Jonathan Martin suggested that the Democratic primary has been rigged in Hillary Clinton’s favor, noting that Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) won Wyoming Saturday, but got the same amount of delegates as Clinton.

“The problem is that Democrats have set up this race in a way that favors the person who establishes a large lead from the outset,” said Martin. “It’s hard to, when you’re playing on those kind of rules, that’s hard to climb out of the hole because even if you win, if you don’t win overwhelmingly, it’s not enough. We saw that just yesterday when [Bernie Sanders] wins in Wyoming, a great state for him, and they split delegates.”
