Booker on Stacey Abrams as Biden’s VP: ‘I Think She Would Be a Great Pick’

Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) on Sunday weighed in on 2018 Democratic Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams as former Vice President Joe Biden’s 2020 running mate.

Booker, who shared he was wearing an Abrams shirt the night before, during MSNBC’s “Kasie DC” praised Abrams as Biden’s potential vice president, saying she “would be a great pick.” He added that there are plenty of “incredible” women out there to serve as Biden’s vice president.

“I don’t think Stacey Abrams would be a good pick. I think she would be a great pick,” Booker stated. “I had her t-shirt on around my house last night. She is amazing. She is one of the more incredible people I’ve ever had a chance to work with. And there’s other incredible people out there, Kamala Harris, Catherine Cortez Masto, Amy Klobuchar — I could go through the incredible women that I have the privilege in my life of working with — Elizabeth Warren, I can go on and on and on.”

He continued, “So, the great thing about Joe Biden, he has a tremendous, incredibly talented pool to draw from, and I’m just really psyched about this ticket that we have coming for the Democratic Party and, frankly, up and down the tickets.”
