Alec Baldwin Lands First TV Acting Gig Since MSNBC Fiasco

Failed MSNBC host Alec Baldwin is joining the Law & Order franchise for an episode.

The actor, whose left the liberal news network late last year in the wake of his an anti-gay tirade against a photographer, will appear on the long-running Law & Order SVU.

Baldwin’s episode is slated to air sometime this spring and details on his role are being kept under wraps. This will be Baldwin’s first Law & Order franchise appearance. Baldwin will appear in series star Mariska Hargitay’s directorial debut. Hargitay’s co-star, Ice-T, said he will have her back throughout the whole thing.

The gig marks Baldwin’s first broadcast TV appearance since leaving the low-rated 30 Rock in 2012.
