Sia Blasts Sarah Palin for Playing 'Titanium' at CPAC

Another liberal musician took offense after her song was associated with former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

When Palin exited CPAC’s stage last Saturday to Sia’s Titanium, the Tea Party favorite ticked off the artist, who, according to the liberal Huffington Post, “is a bisexual, liberal vegetarian and an animal rights advocate” who backs LGBT issues.

This is not the first time liberal artists have been upset that Palin–or other conservatives–have been associated with their music. During the 2008 presidential campaign, Heart’s Nancy Wilson demanded that the McCain-Palin campaign stop playing Barracuda. After the Republican National Convention, the group wrote, “The Republican campaign did not ask for permission to use the song, nor would they have been granted that permission. We have asked the Republican campaign publicly not to use our music. We hope our wishes will be honored.”
