A Las Vegas man who publicly committed suicide inside the M Resort Spa & Casino on Easter Sunday documented his battle with the hotel’s staff, and cited the revocation of his lifetime free meal pass in a series of suicide notes sent to the media.

Fifty-three-year-old John Noble was awarded a free pass to dine at the establishment’s Studio B buffet for life in September of 2010, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports. However, the M Resort revoked the award in 2013, after Noble was accused of stalking female employees and showering them with unwanted gifts and attention.

The man said through a series of both hand-written and video suicide notes that the resort’s actions had put him in a deep depression, and he complained on video that he felt the M did not value his life.

On Sunday, the man took to his Facebook page to share his thoughts about the establishment, one of the multiple times he attacked the resort and its employees by name:

I’ve been under a lot of stress and depression these past couple years thanks to the M Resort… I wish just one person would have said to me I believe in you and I’m there for you but no one has.

All of the hateful people at the M Resort are pathetic, It is sad that this is what our society has become. I’ve been destroyed because I told the truth, I never thought any type of backlash would be so brutal to destroy me in this way. I’m a genuine person proved by my inability to properly deal with everything that happened.

Noble died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head inside the buffet line on south Las Vegas Boulevard just hours later at about 4:50 p.m. Sunday. Henderson, NV emergency crews were working in the building’s parking garage to extinguish a burning vehicle at the time of the incident, and police now say the vehicle belonged to the troubled man.

The day before Noble’s suicide, he compiled a list of complaints against the M and its employees, as well as what he described as his personal history as the victim of bullying, and put them in a box and mailed it to the Review-Journal.

The paper received the box on Monday morning, and found its contents contained two suicide notes and a video diary. Inside Noble’s 270-page collection of hand-written notes and documents, which includes a table of contents, numerous photographs and a two-hour DVD, he stated, “Today, I end my life due to the M Resort Spa Casino and its employees.”

On a page titled “The Curse,” the man then explained the ill will wished on those he believed had persecuted him, which included the names of several of the restaurant’s female employees.

The notes included further details of a suicide threat he made on Easter in 2013, three weeks after he was kicked out of the resort and about a month after his mother died, the paper reports.

A police report was also found in Noble’s paperwork, wherein a woman had complained he was stalking her and had threatened to kill himself. He was detained over the report and spent three days at a psychiatric hospital.

On Mar. 29, Noble posted this statement on Facebook:

The Las Vegas Review Journal Readers Poll of the Best of Las Vegas 2015 results is in Best Buffet, Readers Picked: Feast Buffet located at the many Station Casinos

Best of LV Picked: Wicked Spoon Buffet at the Cosmopolitan

Thank Goodness the Studio B Buffet Did Not make it, yeah!!!

Misty Vaughan Allen, State Suicide Prevention Coordinator for the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health told the Review-Journal: “It looks like we as a community missed some opportunities to help this individual.”

Noble did not appear to have a criminal history. His suicide was witnessed by a large group of other diners, and Henderson police told the paper two people were hurt attempting to escape the restaurant after the gunshot.

The M Resort is offering grief counseling to employees.
