Castro Grabs for Americans' Wallets with Medicare Fraud

Medicare fraud costs U.S. taxpayers an estimated $60 billion a year. One third of Medicare fraud prosecutions take place in south Florida. Six of the top ten Medicare-fraud fugitives from U.S. justice are thought to be hiding in Cuba. Needless to add (except in order to enlighten leftists), one doesn’t just “sneak” into a Communist police-state from an “enemy” nation, and “blend” into the crowd. Six such “blendings” by high-profile “sneakers,” seem peculiar indeed.

Castro is dead-serious about dollars…whatever the cost…to U.S.

These peculiarities recently caught the eye of Republican Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa. Last week the Dept. of Health and Human Services was testifying before the Senate Finance Committee and Senator Grassley took this occasion to ask the HHS Inspector General Daniel Levinson if he’d looked into evidence that Castro could be “facilitating” some of this fraud.

“We’ll have to get back to you on the particulars,” replied Mr Levinson.

Senator Grassley’s alarmed query was prompted by a blockbuster report by Vanessa Lopez of the Univ. of Miami’s Institute for Cuban and Cuban-American Studies that fell under his eye. The report, titled “The Cuban Government and Multi-Million Dollar Medicare Fraud in South Florida,” needless to add, has been completely “overlooked” by the “watchdogs” whose legs would normally twitch with tingles at such an expose’. Its findings, you see, have troublesome implications for the Obama team’s fetish to (further) open travel and cash-flow from the U.S. to Castro’s terrorist-sponsoring fiefdom.

Not all the Medicare fraudsters managed to slither back to Cuba. Take the case of Lieut. Col. Rodriguez-Fleitas serving 3 years in U.S. Federal prison after conviction last year in Miami. Here was a Lieutenant Colonel in Castro’s Army who “battled” Jonas Savimbi’s forces in Angola (where the U.N. documented Cubans using Sarin gas against defenseless Angolan villagers, btw) living in the U.S. and repeatedly traveling back and forth to Cuba on “family visits.” One such lasted 8 months.

Small wonder President Bush put a crimp on such “family travel” back in 2004, only to see Obama again open the floodgates in April 2009, and again in January 2011.

During a recent hearing Senator Marco Rubio questioned Obama’s Assistant Secretary of State, Arturo Valenzuela, on the national-security ramifications of this travel frenzy to and from a nation classified (by Valenzuela’s very State Department) as a State Sponsor of Terrorism. A humane person would not link a video of this hearing. Valenzuela’s stuttering and rambling at the pointed questions by “America’s Tea-party candidate” might hint that you’re not really “in good hands” with (our) State Dept. But I never claimed to be humane in these matters. Here’s the video.

Not that Castro’s grabbing of American wallets is anything new. He lunged for them from day one. Amidst all the media babble and scribble about a so-called Cuban embargo, one teenzy item is usually omitted, namely: why it was originally imposed.

Following please find a list of items many in the Mainstream Media and Castro lobbyists (but I repeat myself) are frantically trying to erase or obscure:

In 1959 the U.S granted diplomatic recognition to the Castro regime in record time for such benediction, faster than they’d recognized Batista in 1952 — faster than they’d recognized any Latin American regime. Then the U.S. lavished Castro with $200 million in subsidies from U.S. taxpayers.

A few months later Castro responded: his KGB-trained security forces stormed into 5,911 U.S owned businesses in Cuba and stole them all at Soviet gunpoint — $2 billion were heisted from outraged U.S. businessmen and stockholders. Rubbing his hands in triumphant glee, Castro boasted at maximum volume to the entire world that he was freeing Cuba from “Yankee economic slavery!” (Che Guevara’s term, actually) and that “he would never repay a penny!”

This is the only promise Fidel Castro has ever kept in his life.

Not all Americans surrendered their legal and hard-earned property peacefully. Here’s court records from a suit in the 11th Judicial Circuit Court, Miami-Dade County by Katy Fuller, whose father, a former U.S. Marine, was murdered in 1960 by “Cuba’s Elvis!” (Dan Rather’s term Fidel Castro) for resisting the theft of the Fuller family farm.

From The Estate of Robert Otis Fuller vs The Republic of Cuba filed May 5 2002:

“Agents of the Castro Government acting under orders of the Castro Government, led Bobby Fuller to a firing squad where he was shot and killed after being tortured by having his blood drained from his body. Thereafter, his body was thrown into an unmarked mass grave in an unknown location.”

Here’s another lawsuit against “One Helluva Guy!” (Ted Turner’s term for Fidel Castro) by the family of U.S. citizen Howard Anderson who resisted the theft of his filling stations and Jeep dealership by Castro’s gunmen in 1960: Anderson v. Republic of Cuba, No. 01-28628 (Miami-Dade Circuit Court, April 13, 2003). “In one final session of torture, Castro’s agents drained Howard Anderson’s body of blood before sending him to his death at the firing squad.”

“Death to the American!” screamed Howard Anderson’s KGB-trained prosecutor at his farce of a trial on April 17, 1961. “The prosecutor was a madman!” says a Swiss diplomat who witnessed the trial, “leaping on tables, shrieking, pointing, as Mr. Anderson simply glared back.”

Two days after his “trial,” Howard Anderson, a U.S. Navy veteran, refused a blindfold in order to glare at his Castroite executioners. Medically he was probably in shock at the time from the blood-draining. “Fuego!” Castro’s firing squad shattered Howard Anderson’s body at dawn on April 19, 1961.
