US President Barack Obama warned Wednesday that the “status quo” between Israel and the Palestinians must change to avoid a repeat of this year’s war with Hamas in Gaza.
“We have to find ways to change the status quo so that both Israeli citizens are safe … but also that we don’t have the tragedy of Palestinian children being killed as well,” Obama told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu before Oval Office talks.
