AU seeks suspension of final announcement of DR Congo vote results

Kinshasa (AFP) – African Union heads on Thursday called for the announcement of the final results of last month’s disputed presidential elections in the Democratic Republic of Congo to be suspended, due to “serious doubts” over the provisional result.

Meeting in Ethiopia, the AU heads of state and government agreed to send “a high-level delegation” to DR Congo, an official tweet said.
