ECB to keep interest rates at record lows ‘at least through summer of 2019’

Riga (AFP) – The European Central Bank on Thursday said it expected key interest rates to remain at their current historic lows “at least through the summer of 2019”.

The Frankfurt institution’s main refinancing rate currently stands at zero percent, the rate on the marginal lending facility at 0.25 percent, and the rate on deposits at -0.4 percent, meaning banks pay to park money with the ECB.
