March 3 (UPI) — FOX has renewed Josh Charles’ dramedy, Best Medicine, for Season 2.
The U.S. version of the classic British series, Doc Martin, will return for the 2026-27 television season.
“Best Medicine quickly became a breakout for us this season, blending sharp humor with real heart,” Michael Thorn, president of Fox Television Network, said in a statement Monday.
“Liz Tuccillo brings a distinctive creative voice to the series, and Josh Charles leads an exceptional cast that audiences have embraced. We, along with Propogate, are excited to build on that momentum in Season 2.”
The show follows Dr. Martin Best, a gifted surgeon who, having developed a phobia of blood, takes a job as a small-town doctor. Abigail Spencer and Annie Potts co-star.
Eliza Coupe from Happy Endings and The Residence will appear in the final two episodes of Season 1, which wraps up March 10.
