Jan. 19 (UPI) — Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid says he’s moving on, despite meeting Rihanna’s dating qualifications.

Embiid tweeted at the music star relentlessly in 2014, saying he was moving on from his crush on Kim Kardashian to Rihanna.

“Hey baby holla at me!! Dinner at Giorgio’s at 9:30 p.m. @rihanna????” Embiid tweeted on July 22, 2014.

Embiid teased that the two actually met up at Giorgio on Pine, an Italian eatery in Philadelphia, but he never showed RiRi in the photos he posted.

He also said that sources told him Rihanna was considering the offer. Embiid also tweeted about having dreams about Rihanna and creating her on a video game.

“…I started loving you like a sister unless you’re thinking different @rihanna,” Embiid tweeted on Aug. 4, 2014. “#LetMeKnow.”

Embiid later clarified why he got shot down.

“This is the truth…I was trying to get with this famous girl and she said ‘come back when you’re a All-Star’ bruhh.”

On Thursday, word came that Embiid was voted an Eastern Conference All-Star starter. It was his first All-Star nod, giving him the qualifications needed to date the “famous girl.”

After Thursday’s win against the Celtics, Embiid was asked about his future with Rihanna.

It didn’t sound like he had Love on the Brain.

“She denied me back then, so why go with her again?” Embiid said on the NBA on TNT. “So I have to pass and move on to the next one.”

“Trust the process.”

Sixers fans proceeded to flood Rihanna’s social media accounts with thousands of tags of Embiid’s username (check out the comments on the video above). He thanked them for their passion on Thursday.

“Fantastic day!!!! We got a great win and I became an STAR…I wanna thank all of you guys out there and the organization for the support,” Embiid tweeted. “We’ve been through so much but this is for you guys so THANK YOU #TheProcess.”

Rihanna has yet to go public with a retort for “The Process,” but she is a huge fan of “King James.” She has attended Cleveland Cavaliers games in the past and frequently sits courtside during the NBA Finals to cheer on LeBron James.
