North Korean Pungsan dog gives birth to puppies in Seoul

SEOUL, Nov. 12 (UPI) — A female Pungsan dog, a gift from North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to South Korean President Moon Jae-in, gave birth to six puppies last week.

“Gomi, gifted by Chairman Kim during my visit to Pyongyang, gave birth to six puppies on Friday,” Moon said in a tweet on Monday.

Moon said that Gomi had three female and three male white puppies and she must have been pregnant when she came in September.

“There can’t be a bigger luck than this because the two came as a gift and now we have six more. I hope the North and South relations could be like this,” he said.

Two indigenous North Korean Pungsan dogs joined the presidential pets in September when North Korea sent them as a gift to mark the summit between two leaders in September in Pyongyang.
