CHASKA, Minn., Oct. 3 (UPI) — Despite a dating history including models and other beautiful women, Rickie Fowler stood solo as his United States teammates locked lips with significant others in a post-Ryder Cup photo.

The United States beat Europe 17-11 for reclaim the cup. Following the win, champagne flowed in the celebration. In the photo, Fowler, 27, stands with a smirk on his face as nearly all of his teammates kiss wives, girlfriends, and fiancées.

The win was the United States’ first since 2008. Fowler edged Justin Rose by one stroke in a match 4 final round Sunday.

Sam Greenwood for Getty took the original photo, which was then doctored by Fowler for his Instagram post. Fowler wrote the caption: “Squad,” with an American flag and a trophy, on the post. Fowler looked to be the team member enjoying the win most however, as he let U.S. team vice captain Tom Lehman pour him champagne into his mouth directly from the bottle during the party.
