Tom Brady says his losing streak stops at one

Feb. 12 (UPI) — New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady posted a photo to social media, talking about getting over his latest Super Bowl loss.

He posted the photo on Sunday with his wife, Gisele Bundchen. The couple embraced and kissed in the shot, while standing on a hill above a shore in Costa Rica.

“This Sunday’s outcome is a lot better than last Sunday’s! #losingstreakstopsatone,” Brady wrote in the caption.

Brady posted the photo to his Instagram and Facebook accounts. It had nearly 900,000 combined likes on social media as of Monday morning. Some of those interactions came from athletes, including Isaiah Thomas, Bryce Harper and Willie McGinest.

This is the second time Brady has posted on social media about the Patriots’ 41-33 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Feb. 4 in Super Bowl LII.

Last week, the five-time Super Bowl champion penned a longer post addressing the loss.

“It has taken me a few days to reflect on our SB loss as well as the great season our team had,” Brady wrote. “There are many emotions when you come up short of your goal. And they are all part of learning and growing in this journey of life. Learning turns everything into a positive. And the number one feeling I have had the past 4 days is gratitude. Gratitude to my teammates for the incredible effort given all season regardless of the challenges we faced.

“Gratitude toward my coaches for the effort and sacrifice they make to put us players in the best position to win.

“Gratitude to the NEP organization for supporting us on our very challenging and difficult journey.
Gratitude to the Philadelphia Eagles team and organization for bringing out the best in us and being gracious winners (as well as congratulations on winning the championship).

“Gratitude toward our fans who showed up every week to cheer us on and commit their time and energy and love and support to what our goals are. And gratitude to my family and friends who continue to love and support my dreams. Thank you all. I love you all.”

Brady completed 28-of-48 passes for a Super Bowl record 505 yards, three scores and zero interceptions in the loss to the Eagles.

The quarterback turns 41 in August. He told Bunchen in early February that he wants to win two more Super Bowls before retirement.

The 2017 NFL MVP now has a 5-3 career record in Super Bowls.
