Feb. 12 (UPI) — A man taking a canoe out on a manatee-spotting trip in Florida received a closer-than-expected encounter when one of the animals gave him a push.
The video, filmed Feb. 3, shows a man looking on in awe as a manatee pushes his transparent canoe — a rental from SeeThroughCanoe — around in the water.
The man and the friend who captured the footage said the animal pushed the canoe around for a few minutes.
“Manatees are friendly and sometimes they can be pushy,” SeeThroughCanoe quipped.
