Trump says thinks G7 leaders will agree joint statement

La Malbaie (Canada) (AFP) – US President Donald Trump predicted Friday G7 leaders would manage to agree on a joint statement at the end of their meeting in Canada as he held talks with the host Justin Trudeau.

“I think we’ll have a joint statement,” said Trump after several participants in the summit had predicted that the leaders of the world’s most industrialized nations may not be able to agree on a communique amid a clash with the US over trade tariffs.​
